I said to a doctor once, “I had a good career.” You know, I really enjoyed my work. I wasn’t ready to leave and that’s prbably one of the biggest challenges personally that I’ve had in that time, but physically couldn’t carry on.

I was — I took some time off after 55 years I’ve never really been ill. Very fortunate, but this time was different. And I think I said to the general practitioner, I said to her “What advice would you give me on retiring?”

And, I didn’t know what she was going to say. I thought she’d just say, “Go for it.” I think she said, “Well I’ve met many people that that have left it too late to retire.”

I thought that made sense to make the decision and go, because a lot of people leave it too late, and they wish they’d retired earlier.
